Join to apply for the Case Manager role at University of Auckland.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Te Papa Manaaki Case Manager to join Te Papa Manaaki | Campus Care, part of the Campus Life division.In this role, you will coordinate the provision of personal and wellbeing support for students, ensuring they can access the right services at the right time.

You will work closely with students, staff, and external providers to assess needs, develop support plans, and connect students with appropriate services.

By taking a case management approach, you will reduce barriers to success, minimise health impacts, and provide a safe and skilled mechanism for addressing issues such as wellbeing concerns, harassment, discrimination, and sexual harm.Key responsibilitiesAssessing and managing referrals from students, staff, or the University community.Developing support plans and ensuring warm transfer to internal and external services.Managing complex or sensitive cases with professionalism and care.Maintaining accurate case records, reports, and anonymised data for service improvement.Building positive working relationships with University services and external support providers.Supporting continuous improvement in referral processes and wellbeing services.This is a part-time (30 hours per week), fixed-term position for 6 months.

Remuneration is $83,300 - $102,900 per annum prorated, depending on skills and experience.For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description.About youYou are an experienced wellbeing or case management professional with the ability to work sensitively with young people and diverse communities.You will also bring : A bachelor's degree in social work, occupational therapy, mental health nursing or other relevant field, and membership of a professional body.At least 5 years' experience providing case management and support services, preferably with students or young people.Strong knowledge of issues affecting students and young people, and cultural competence in supporting diverse communities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and complex situations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn University systems.A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity in professional practice.Experience working in a tertiary environment and knowledge of University and community support services would be an advantage.About the teamTe Papa Manaaki | Campus Care coordinates personal and wellbeing support for students.
