English Language Lecturer - Manawatu

We are seeking a motivated, innovative, and passionate English Language Lecturer to join the Manawatu campus at UCOL.

The full-time, permanent role primarily delivers the New Zealand Certificate in English Language – Level 4 programme to a diverse group of learners and may also be required to teach other English Language programmes.

Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and supportive mentorship to inspire students to pursue and achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with programme outcomes.

Motivate and support learners to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters participation and progress.

Contribute to programme development, moderation, and continuous improvement.

Use a variety of teaching technologies and tools to enhance learning experiences.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student success and programme quality.

Skills And Attributes

A bachelor's degree (required).

Teaching experience in English language education (highly preferred).

Demonstrated ability to teach effectively within an applied tertiary environment.

Competence and confidence using a range of digital technologies for learning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work positively with learners from diverse backgrounds.

Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills – able to think on your feet.

Full New Zealand driver's licence.
