Exciting opportunity for an experienced criminal lawyer with recent Duty Lawyer experience and exceptional people leader skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team in either a full time or part time position.

As a Duty Lawyer supervisor, Wellington region, you will report to the Wellington Office Public Defender.

Based at both / either the Porirua, 3 days per week and / or Hutt Valley 2 days per week, courts, you will be responsible for :

• Leading the duty lawyer service at court on your rostered days.
• Contributing to new initiatives and improvements to the service.
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.

Utu a-tau / Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $128,614 and $179,876, depending on full or part time, skills and experience.
