Working across the city, they construct, maintain, and repair the underground networks that carry our water, stormwater, and wastewater—keeping essential services running smoothly for everyone.This is a hands-on role that makes a real impact in your community and a chance to be part of something vital.
ResponsibilitiesOn any given day you could be working on a variety of tasks which includeFixing a leakReplacing / repairing a pump or minor mechanical repairsSorting out a blocked pipeAttending an emergency flood / overflowMaintaining a drain or pipe systemWorking in our open drainsWorking at one of our Treatment Plants or reservoirsTo support your future - We\'ll cover the cost of your Infrastructure Works qualifications.
QualificationsExperience in the trade or civil industry.Completed or started a trade qualification (NZ certificate in infrastructure works preferred)Prepared to work in all weather conditions and physically fit.Commitment to completing a NZQA qualification.Able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and a Ministry of Justice background checkAble to keep accurate records, both written and electronically.Able to work unsupervised and follow instructions.Able to communicate to colleagues and public in a positive manner.Available to be rostered on-call afterhours.Full NZ Drivers Licence (Class 2 would be an advantage)Salary and BenefitsWhat's the salary?
