General Fitters / Fabricators

Pace Engineering Ltd is an experienced, privately owned, mechanical engineering company. Our well-equipped purpose-built workshops based in Taranaki, the heart of New Zealand's energy province, offers total engineering services to a broad client base.

We're looking to add experienced General Fitters / Fabricators to our team in New Plymouth.

To be successful in this role, you will need :

• A level 4 Engineering Trade Qualification or at least 3 years experience as a Fitter Welder, Fitter Turner, Metal Fabricator or equivalent
• To be quality and productivity focused
• Proficient English communication skills, including technical English
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as autonomously
• The ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings
• The ability to understand and follow verbal instructions

You'll be responsible for performing mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to company and client standards.
