Eagle Recruitment NZ is seeking skilled and experienced Fitters / Welders to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities :

• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Cutting, shaping, and fitting metal components.
• Performing various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) according to project requirements.
• Inspecting and testing welds for quality and integrity.
• Assembling and fitting fabricated components.
• Using hand and power tools to perform fitting tasks.
• Ensuring accurate alignment and fit of components.
• Performing maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE.
• Conducting pre-work safety checks.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Performing quality checks and inspections.
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed.

Requirements and Skills :

The successful applicants will also have the opportunity to work in different locations ( Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland ), providing a unique chance to explore New Zealand's diverse regions.

This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is between NZ$30 and NZ$51 , depending on experience and qualification. The work hours are from 30 hours minimum to 70 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 7 am and 5 pm. They may be required to work on weekends.
