About the role
Each Tangata will have individual care requirements, and you will support them with all elements of daily living.
No qualifications or prior experience are required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure all Kaiawhina Support Workers are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need.
Training
Paid training!
Our Kaiawhina Skills Framework training takes place during your first two-to-four weeks of employment and is a mixture of practical training, online self-directed learning, and working with a buddy trainer.
We cover the basics of support including :
Infection prevention control
Moving and handling
Medication management
Practical tasks including personal cares, compression therapy, meal preparation, etc.

Genuinely love working with people who need support and seeing them thrive
Be intuitive and responsive to people's feelings and needs
Own a smartphone
Have the right to work in New Zealand
Full / restricted driver's license
Be available to work every second weekend
