OverviewLecturer - Computational Continuum Mechanics | Te Wananga Aronui o Tamaki Makau Rau | Auckland University of Technology (AUT), Auckland, New ZealandThe Department of Mechanical Engineering within the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (SECMS) at AUT is seeking to appoint a permanent Lecturer in Computational Continuum Mechanics.
The candidate should have a PhD and a record of teaching experience and research success in the field of Computational Continuum Mechanics (CCM) in Engineering.ResponsibilitiesConduct high quality research in Computational Continuum Mechanics and related areas.Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and develop academic programmes.Contribute to research and postgraduate supervision in CCM through the candidates specialist field and take a leading role in service and teaching.Engage in activities to foster a diverse and inclusive working environment and contribute to the wider academic community.QualificationsEssentialPhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field with a specialization in Computational Continuum Mechanics (CCM).
Strong knowledge of continuum mechanics principles, numerical methods and CCM software (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Fluent, LS-DYNA, OpenFOAM).
