    Join our small, high-performing team and take charge of your own portfolio of scholarships.

    In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-level administrative support for scholarship processes and offer advice to students, staff, funders, and other external stakeholders.

    You'll bring expertise in data and financial procedures, along with the ability to manage your workflow and deliver results.

    We're looking for someone with sharp attention to detail, a flair for financial processes, and problem-solving skills.

    Proficiency in data manipulation will be a real asset in this role.

    You'll work well independently and also thrive in a close-knit, collaborative team.

    This role also calls for empathy, sound judgement, cultural awareness, and the ability to meet deadlines.

    The salary for this full-time role (37.5 hours per week) is $71,275–$84,695 per year, depending on your skills, knowledge, and experience.

    The position will be based at our Hillcrest Campus.

    To be successful in this role you will have :

    • A University degree, or equivalent relevant work experience
    • Excellent administration skills, planning and organisation, and computer literacy including data manipulation and financial know-how
    • Strong communication skills and professional approach with an eye for detail
    • Ability to interpret, and experience with, working within fixed policies and processes
    • Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service
    • Experience working with, and sensitivity to, people from varying backgrounds and cultures

      – Who are we?

      Te Mata Kairangi is responsible for the strategic leadership and provision of services and administrative support for all scholarships, awards and prizes, and higher research degree qualifications at Te Whare Wananga o Waikato the University of Waikato.

      There are two teams; one providing high quality service and advice to students, staff and external stakeholders for scholarships, at all levels of study, and the other managing the University's doctoral qualifications.

      This position is within the Scholarships Team.
