This role centralises around strong clinical / organisational skillsand well-developed clinical experience in child and adolescent mental healthsettings.

We have a strong and supportive team who are committed to workingwith young people in Christchurch and the North of Canterbury.We have a Permanent 0.96FTE position available working as aSocial Worker - Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service, NorthCommunity and Outreach Team (CAF North) based at Hillmorton.Skills & ExperienceRegisteredSocialWorkerHavecompleted or on a pathway to complete a post graduate qualificationrelevant to this role.Ideallyhave experience in outpatient case management (assessment and treatment),clinical teaching, supervision and supporting and championing change inclinical settings as part of a teamWhakawhanaungatanga(ability to forge and foster relationships)Whakamanaakitanga(ability to treat others with respect, encouragement and support)Whakakotahitanga(ability to work in your role and actively participate and align this toour organisational values and goalsUsing an MDT approach, the team implement a range ofinterventions to support people in their journey.Working collaboratively with consumers, their whanau andother significant people in their lives to ensure they have access to a highstandard of care and are able to achieve equitable healthcare outcomes in theirjourney.About YouYouwill have an interest in working with consumers who have a dual diagnosisBe astrong team player who can also practice autonomously.Ableto promote the social work perspective and advocate for your consumers.Excellentphysical and mental health assessment skillsHighlydeveloped communication skills and an ability to connect with others in ameaningful and therapeutic manner.Be apositive, compassionate and caring person with a genuine desire to workwith this consumer group.Youmust have a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) scoped for mentalhealthWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
