Duty Officer - Spencer Park (Customer Service Team)
Duty Officers are an essential part of our team. In this role you will help provide a high level of customer service to guests nationally and internationally, and work closely with an amazing team to ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience with us.
Responsibilities
- Checking guests in and out
- Managing phone and email bookings and enquiries
- Assisting with customer requests and handling concerns or complaints
- Handling cash and processing payments
- Stocking and serving customers in the camp shop
- Laundry and supporting housekeeping as needed
Note : you will be required to work most public holidays, and the main holiday period (approximately December to February) as this is our busiest period.
Qualifications & Skills
Be friendly and have a helpful attitude, with the ability to adapt to different languages and culturesWork well under pressure and show initiativeKnowledge of the Canterbury region and attractions is desirableWell organised with a strong sense of responsibilityExceptional problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work unsupervisedComprehensive First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencingPrevious experience in the tourism industry is desirableA full New Zealand Driver's Licence is desirableHours of work : Sunday and Monday, 1pm–7 : 30pm (12 hours per week)Position : Fixed-term, part-timeSalary : $30.98 per hourBenefits & Environment
