About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity
for a senior paediatric Registered Nurse to join a multi-disciplinary team as a
Clinical Nurse Specialist in the High Dependency Unit.
The service is both diverse and
challenging as they care for our paediatric patients who require specialist
treatment for a wide range of diagnoses.
You will require excellent assessment
skills and a sound broad knowledge of paediatric conditions.
With the proven
ability to lead, you will be an expert at mentoring and facilitating the
development of nursing practice, assisting with performance appraisals,
auditing, quality improvement and providing overall clinical expertise within
the team to enable them to continue to deliver a high standard of care.
As a role model it is expected you will engage with nursing
staff and members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective
relationships are developed and maintained, therefore your integrity, excellent
interpersonal skills, effective organisational and time management skills and
clinical credibility are imperative to the success of this role.
About the Service
Children's High Care is an 8 bedded unit and supports patients
under the care of all paediatric specialties who require a higher level of
monitoring or more intensive nursing care.
We have a variety of patient types
including infants, children, and young people with medical, surgical, oncology /
haematology conditions and injuries from trauma.
About you

towards a relevant Post Graduate qualification

Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising
Certificate (APC)Working at Health New Zealand
