About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Clinical

Nurse - Clinical Coach to join our nursing team, which includes Registered

Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners.

As a Clinical Coach you will be part of the nursing

leadership team and emergency education team.

You will provide support and coaching to nursing staff of

all levels, deliver in house education and assist in the assessment, planning

and implementation of nursing care.

Through an interactive and collaborative approach, you will

engage one on one with the emergency nurses, assisting them in the attainment

of new knowledge and skills, and providing leadership and consultancy for

nursing practice.

About the Service

The Christchurch Emergency Department (ED) based in Waipapa

is one of the busiest in Australasia, sees more than 146,000 patients per year

and services a population of 600,000. It is a tier six level regional trauma

centre and the sole Emergency Department in the city of Christchurch.

About you

You will enjoy working as part

of a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organisational

skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work well under

pressure.

A minimum of 4 years

clinical expertise in Emergency Nursing is essential.

Expertise in clinical

teaching and or coaching / mentoring

A post graduate

qualification relevant to Emergency Nursing

Expert communication,

problem solving, interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage people

at all levels

Excellent time

management and organisation skills

Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current

Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
