• About the Role
• The Major Projects Project Coordinator supports the Notifiable Disease Management System (NDMS) project.The role sits within the Protection Directorate of the National Public Health Service (NPHS).We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in lending your coordination experience to an inflight technology project that significantly impacts public health outcomes across New Zealand. You will be engaging with the project across its lifecycle, helping to coordinate activities including planning, implementation, and tracking deliverables from various business partners. This role has a lot of opportunities for growth and development of various skillsets including project planning, management, change and communications.Our ideal candidate will have the following :
• A background in coordination for business / technology projects
• An understanding of hybrid agile / waterfall environments
• The ability to draft communications for diverse audiences
• A good understanding of project risk management
• Exceptional engagement and stakeholder coordination skills
• A strong ability to navigate administrative processes
• A good eye for design and the ability to polish presentations
• Experience recording, collating and distributing advisory and steering group minutes

• A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
• Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
• Minimum 2-3 year in project coordination and administration roles
• Working for Health New Zealand
