OverviewDrive In Position, Relief Broiler Chicken Farm WorkThis role covers the farm manager duties and requires work on the farm every second weekend.LocationThis is a drive in position located within 10 minutes North from Matamata township.

Applicants must be located within this area.ResponsibilitiesCover the farm manager and work on farm every second weekend.

(4hrs day / 8hours per fortnight)

Unsupervised on Saturdays and Sundays.Under the training and instruction of the Operations Manager and Farm Manager you will learn all aspects of site management with the greatest priority being the welfare of the chickens.Support from owners and manager available remotely as required.QualificationsA genuine interest in working with rearing chickens with bird welfare a top priority.Good level of fitness as some moderate to heavy lifting and long periods on your feet at certain times of the batches.Experience in working on fully environmentally controlled broiler chicken farms preferred, but not essential.A willing ability to learn new skills in a new environment;Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised;Good literacy and basic computer skills.Applicants for this position must be a NZ resident, NZ citizen, or hold a valid NZ work visa and must have a driver's licence.
