This isn't a standard workshop role.

We're looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in a range of operational tasks—from gear maintenance, welding and safety checks to coordinating equipment logistics and supporting port operations.Location : Timaru PortStatus : Monday to Friday 9 hour shifts with callout availability plus weekends when requiredYour job duties would be : Maintain, repair, and prepare gearstore equipment for shipping cargo operations.Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.Manage inventory, coordinate equipment delivery and recovery, and keep the gearstore tidy and operational.Liaise with suppliers, operational teams, and maintenance staff to meet equipment needs.Keep accurate records of maintenance, timesheets, and equipment requests.You will also need : Level 3 Trade Certificate (minimum).
