Join us as a Contracting Foreperson in Timaru!

As a Foreperson in our Timaru Contracting team, you will lead a crew to deliver work safety, on time and to the highest quality standard. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations, including the coordination of all employees, plant resources and subcontract personnel in your area of control.

In a

ddition to the above you will :

Ensure your team adheres to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Coordinate, plan, and organise plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure the effective delivery of projects.

Operate a wide range of plant and equipment to help deliver infrastructure projects across Canterbury.

Maximise daily productivity of your team while ensuring a high quality of work.

Foster a safe work environment by educating site workers on construction safety regulations and emergency procedures.

We're

looking for someone with :

A Minimum of 5 years' experience in the contracting / infrastructure industry.

Full clean class 4 licence and WTR endorsements.

The ability to operate a wide range of contracting plant and equipment to a high standard.

Experienced in pavement structures, including final trim grader operation.

Knowledge of UTS and Lica survey tools or similar.

Working knowledge of Inspection and Test plans (ITP's).

Outstanding leadership skills, with proven experience supervising and leading crews.

A strong focus on safety, quality and our environment.

The ability to communicate clear expectations to your team and suppliers, maintaining a strong client focus.

A passion for upskilling and developing teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
