Job Description

Mercure Queenstown Resort, located on a unique vista overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain range, offers 148 guest rooms with spectacular lake or serene garden views. With 65 dedicated Heartists, the resort provides a team-focused environment where every employee works together to create exceptional guest experiences. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People and Culture Coordinator to support our HR & WHS operations and ensure a seamless employee experience. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, people-focused, and eager to contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Support the recruitment process, including posting job adverts, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems.
• Assist with HR documentation such as contracts, policies, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate employee training sessions and engagement activities.
• Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Support payroll and benefits administration.
• Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
