Job Description

Lumino Nelson, a leading dental practice in Nelson, New Zealand, is seeking a professional and organized Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis.

In this role, you will provide exceptional support to our dentists and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Assist dentists during dental procedures by preparing operatories, sterilizing instruments, and providing necessary materials

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols

Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and supportive manner, ensuring their comfort throughout their visit

Manage patient records and dental charts with meticulous attention to detail

Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling billing inquiries

Operate and maintain dental equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness

Please note this is for a casual DA position to support our current Dental Assistants.

No regular hours or days are guaranteed at this time.

Qualifications

Dental assisting certification or relevant training is required

Previous experience working in a dental office is preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and dental staff

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures

Proficiency in dental software and equipment is an advantage

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
