Lead Engineer

Loan Engine is a funded SaaS startup building the AI-native operating system for non-bank lenders.

We're re-imagining how loans are originated, funded, and serviced with a modern fully containerised multi-tier architecture orchestrated by Kubernetes.

Primarily Golang based containers with Postgres as the RDBMS.We're looking for our Founding Lead Engineer – hands-on, ambitious, and full of energy – who wants to grow into our CTO role as we scale.What you'll doShip product features across backend + frontend (Go, HTML / CSS / JS, Material).

Scale our multi-tenant, multi-tier SaaS architecture on GKE with Cilium / service mesh.Own key technical decisions and evolve our platform architecture.Work directly with the Founder on product direction and customer needs.Interact with early users / customers to deeply understand their problems.Hire and mentor the first engineering team as we grow.What we're looking forAt least 5 years of hands-on software engineering and cloud infrastructure experience.At least 2 years working in a fast-paced team where customer needs were as important as the tech.At least 1 year leading others (formally or informally).
