As the Athlete Marketing Manager, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of world‑class athletes across multiple sports and disciplines, scouting emerging talent and creating impactful activations. Working closely with professional athletes, you’ll help them realise their dreams while driving brand awareness, product relevance, and inspiring consumers. STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITY FOR NATIONAL ATHLETE PROGRAM
Develop and manage a diverse, high‑impact athlete portfolio across sports. Drive a forward‑thinking Athlete Marketing strategy aligned with Red Bull’s global priorities. Scout emerging talent and future‑proof Red Bull’s athlete portfolio with a perfect brand fit. Build partnerships within New Zealand’s sports industry to identify trends and talent. Leverage athletes to boost brand awareness, product placement, and consumer engagement. Collaborate with Red Bull Media House to deliver cutting‑edge projects and media exposure.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR NATIONAL ATHLETE PROGRAM
Build strong relationships with athletes, providing tailored marketing, communications, and performance support. Manage athlete contracts, branding, product integration, and event participation. Support athletes during contests, activations, and high‑profile moments. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maximise athlete impact in events and campaigns.
MAXIMISING IMPACT THROUGH ATHLETE & MEDIA PROJECTS
Lead innovative athlete projects from ideation to execution. Create and amplify unique athlete stories across Red Bull and media channels. Develop activation plans to increase consumer engagement through athlete‑led initiatives. Foster collaboration and synergies with other global Red Bull markets.
ADMINISTRATION, REPORTING AND BUDGETING
Manage athlete calendars, contracts, and budgets effectively to deliver maximum ROI. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse athlete impact for strategy optimisation. Maintain high standards in professionalism, compliance, and efficiency.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND NEGOTIATION
Build strong relationships with local and international stakeholders, including athletes, agencies, and media. Lead athlete contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with brand goals and athlete needs. Travel to key sporting scenes to scout talent, build networks, and foster partnerships.
