Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Collect geological information via sampling, mapping, core and rock chip logging for ore / resource delineation and ore extraction optimisation
- Help identify and classify ore zones
- Assist in reviewing stope and ore drive plans
- Support underground GC drilling activities
- Undertake sampling of stope ore and underground ROM pad
- Ensure haulage is designated correctly according to grade
- Assist the underground production geologist as needed
- Monitor development headings and stope production
- Assist with geological mapping, trenching, and sampling
- Develop skills to direct the excavator within the ore zone (ore spotting)
- Assist with interpretation of the ore body
- Prepare, log, and sample core
- Follow and contribute to the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
