ROLE SUMMARY :

We are Petdirect, a one-stop shop for all your pet needs — both online and in-store. Our vision is to lead the pack in making it easier for Kiwi pet parents to provide the best life for their pets. Proudly NZ-owned and operated, we’re a passionate team of PetSters dedicated to helping pets and their people live happier lives.

Our Auckland warehouse team plays a critical role in making this happen. As a Warehouse Assistant , you’ll work across both our Inwards and Outwards teams, supporting the full flow of stock through our operation. From receiving and checking deliveries to picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, your role is all about accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.

This is a full-time permanent role based at our Avondale warehouse, working 40 hours per week on a set roster (Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday). You may also be asked to support other warehouse functions when required, reflecting the dynamic nature of our business.

A full driver’s licence and a current OSH forklift licence are required for this role.

Inwards Goods (Receiving & Stock Management) :

• Safely unload deliveries using manual handling techniques and forklifts.
• Accurately check incoming stock against purchase orders, raising discrepancies where required.
• Receipt stock into the warehouse management system promptly and accurately.
• Label goods correctly and store in the right locations, following FIFO / FEFO principles.
• Support stock control through stocktakes and cycle counts.

Outwards (Pick, Pack & Dispatch) :
