The role maintains strong connections in the branch and across the organisation, particularly with Strategy, Governance and Risk and with other Branch Performance teams across the enterprise.The Senior Business Advisor provides advice and support, actively contributing to the planning, monitoring, reporting, business improvement and risk management responsibilities across the branch.
Applying their expertise to ensure the outputs are delivered to a high-quality and aligned with the broader organisation expectations.In addition to this the Senior Business Advisor works alongside the Business Advisors to build capability in technical support type arrangement.Core ResponsibilitiesProviding advice to the leadership team and other leaders across the branch in relation to queries, work programme and key activitiesContributing and collaborating with the branch to deliver external reportingMaintaining the branch risk register, regular risk reporting, and overseeing risk management processesSupporting OIA's and Official Correspondence activities, including working with others in the branch to collate and analyse information.Working alongside the team to implement business and continuous improvement initiativesContributing to the delivery of branch wide initiativesContributing to building capability across the Branch Performance team through on-the-job support and advice for the Advisors and wider branch advisory networksKey Skills and CapabilitiesDemonstrated experience working in the public sector in planning, reporting, and performance management functionDemonstrated experience in preparing and coordinating internal and external reporting requirementsProven ability to manage risk reporting, coordinate compliance activities, and oversee risk management processes in line with organisational frameworksDemonstrated understanding of public sector corporate accountability and compliance responsibilitiesStrong stakeholder engagement skills, to support maintaining a balance amongst varying expectations and requirementsAbility to manage ambiguity and confidently use initiative when dealing with a broad range of complex, evolving informationStrong communications skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate with credibility and convey complex information to a range of audiencesWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion.
