Systems Accountant

In this role, you will be the sole person responsible for maintaining the integrity of the financial systems and leading continuous improvements to optimize them.

You will play a key part in supporting the Senior Financial Accountant and Management Accountants with reporting and audits.As the ideal candidate, you will provide expert advice on financial systems and general financial accounting to staff and management.

You will also be responsible for implementing new financial system functions and upgrades, and maintaining the financial system's administration, including month-end and year-end processes.Accountabilities and DeliverablesDelivering specialized systems accounting services that contribute to our organization's outcomes.Maintaining and developing automated processes, such as cost allocations and interfaces to other internal systems.Developing and maintaining reports, queries, and dashboards.Providing help desk support and user training for financial systems.Leading initiatives to optimize the full potential of financial systems and business processes.Preparing and ensuring accurate external reporting to the Treasury in a timely manner.Actively participating in year-end and interim audits.Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for someone with : CA or CPA qualification or working towardsA financial systems accounting background, including exposure to systems implementation.In-depth knowledge of accounting systems, spreadsheets, and databases.An understanding of the machinery of government.If you would like to discuss this in more detail please contact Garrett on or email
