Systems Accountant

OverviewJoin to apply for the Systems Accountant role at Randstad New ZealandIn this role, you will be the sole person responsible for maintaining the integrity of the financial systems and leading continuous improvements to optimize them.

You will play a key part in supporting the Senior Financial Accountant and Management Accountants with reporting and audits.ResponsibilitiesProvide expert advice on financial systems and general financial accounting to staff and management.Implement new financial system functions and upgrades, and maintain the financial system's administration, including month-end and year-end processes.Deliver specialized systems accounting services that contribute to the organization's outcomes.Maintain and develop automated processes, such as cost allocations and interfaces to other internal systems.Develop and maintain reports, queries, and dashboards.Provide help desk support and user training for financial systems.Lead initiatives to optimize the full potential of financial systems and business processes.Prepare and ensure accurate external reporting to the Treasury in a timely manner.Actively participate in year-end and interim audits.Skills and ExperienceCA or CPA qualification or working towardsA financial systems accounting background, including exposure to systems implementationIn-depth knowledge of accounting systems, spreadsheets, and databasesAn understanding of the machinery of governmentContactFor more details please contact Garrett on 04 494 3452 or email
