Senior Advisor, Strategic Engagement | Economic Growth Programmes
Join the high‑performing, fast‑paced Economic Growth Programmes team at MBIE. This fixed‑term position (ending 24 June 2026) is based in Wellington and focuses on supporting Ministerial and business engagements across government programmes, including writing briefings and communications material.
Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement and external relationships to support Ministerial and business engagements.
- Draft Ministerial briefings, communications material, and letters for senior leaders.
- Plan and manage multiple projects concurrently to support delivery of economic growth programmes.
- Work collaboratively with businesses, industry groups, cross‑agency partners and senior MBIE leaders.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in public sector or engagement roles.Proven experience managing stakeholder engagement and building strong working relationships.Strong written communication—briefings, reports, letters.Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage concurrent work.Political savvy and awareness of government priorities and protocols.Effective oral communication and proactive attitude in a fast‑paced environment.Experience responding to Official Information Act requests and Ministerial correspondence is beneficial.Growth mindset, eager to learn and contribute positively to the team.Benefits & Details
