The Role :
Bring your Category Management expertise to shape exceptional customer experiences while driving revenue and category profit growth.
As Category Manager, for Local Product, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver an optimised customer journey and take ownership of category planning and ranging, pricing and promotions, supplier relationship management, and negotiation.
This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
What You'll Do :
Managing supplier relationships
Taking part in supplier negotiations
Creating engaging value propositions for customers, based on insights and data
Monitoring customer engagement in stores
Working with stores to drive category success
Managing to budgets and forecasts
Inventory & purchasing plans to maintain positive cash flow
Internal reporting of Category performance
Playing an active role in promoting the culture of the business
Qualifications and Experience :
3+ years' experience in retail category management
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Proven experience managing successful supplier relationships
Strong analytical skills
You will have excellent time management and enjoy juggling competing priorities
Demonstrate a high level of initiative
