Job Summary
The Product Manager – WSX (Wood Supply Exchange) is responsible for shaping the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the WSX platform within Trimble Forestry’s logistics portfolio. This role ensures WSX continues to evolve as a leading solution for wood supply chain visibility, planning, and execution. Acting as the bridge between customers, engineering, and business stakeholders, the Product Manager drives alignment of customer needs with technical delivery, while ensuring features are built for scalability, usability, and measurable value.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap in alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities for growth and product differentiation.
- Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements and prioritized backlogs.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Customer Success, Commercial, and other stakeholders to ensure product alignment and delivery.Partner with Customer Success and Sales to gather customer feedback and market insights to guide product direction.Communicate roadmap, priorities, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.Product Delivery and Execution
Work closely with engineering teams to define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that drive effective development.Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization sessions, ensuring clarity and alignment on goals.Balance trade-offs between technical constraints, customer needs, and business objectives to ensure high-quality and timely releases.Customer Focus and Market Success
Advocate for customer needs by ensuring products deliver meaningful outcomes, usability, and long-term value.Define and monitor product KPIs, measuring success and driving continuous improvement.Support go-to-market efforts, working with marketing and commercial teams to ensure effective positioning, pricing, and adoption.Process Improvement and Innovation
Identify opportunities to streamline product development processes and drive efficiencies across teams.Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation, prototyping, and feedback-driven iteration.Ensure lessons learned from releases and customer feedback are incorporated into future planning.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience is a plus).Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or related roles.Demonstrated track record of defining and launching successful products in enterprise or SaaS environments.Experience working with cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, and customer success.Familiarity with Agile / Scrum or SAFe product development practices.Skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize market and customer data into actionable insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Notion, Confluence, or equivalent for product planning and tracking.Knowledge of forestry, logistics, planning, or GIS domains is a plus.Competencies
