The Role
We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead one of our high performing software development teams through an exciting transformation.
Currently focused on supporting a legacy software stack they will perform significant modernization and migration and will soon shift to building and scaling Evo, our next-generation cloud solution.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to
Lead and support the team through change management during the period of transition.
Drive the adoption of modern development practices and cloud-native architecture.
Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Mentor and grow engineering talent.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
To be successful in this role, you should have
7+ years in software development leadership in medium to large teams, including 3+ years people leadership.
Proven success in change management.
Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and modern development practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to mentor and grow engineering talent in a collaborative environment.
Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
Additional Information
Office-based working environment, work from our Christchurch office three or more days per week.
