Overview
As a Asian Market Trade Sales Manager , you’ll lead a team of Mandarin-speaking Account Managers across Auckland, lifting service standards, driving sales performance, and building a culture that nails the basics. This isn’t a desk job it’s a blend of hands-on trade customer engagement and trade sales leadership focused on driving improvements, solving real business challenges, and delivering results that shapes our future and secures our position as New Zealand’s leading supplier of building materials and hardware.
Balance attending industry events, connecting with trade customers, and uncovering new business development opportunities that keep us ahead of the competition, while coaching and developing your team to hit sales targets and maximise revenue. You’ll shape sales strategies, execute initiatives, refine how we work, and stay close to market conditions and trends turning insights into actions that inspire and guide your team to win new business and build loyal relationships that create partnerships beyond transactions!
Permanent full-time role with a home base at PlaceMakers Mt Wellington, Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with regular travel across Auckland.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a seasoned sales or business development leader with a solid grasp of the Asian building and distribution market. You’ll be someone who sees the bigger picture, understanding the needs of trade customers and turning market insights into actionable sales strategies. You’ll have a passion for developing teams, with the ability to influence and empower, and bring strong commercial awareness to plan effectively and deliver sales results.
