Your main responsibilities will be to install, commission, test, and troubleshoot Transmission communication systems.

Flexible working hours and participation on a 24 / 7 stand-by roster is a requirement for this role, a willingness to travel for projects and work away from home, occasionally with short notification, are requirements for this role.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to be physically fit and comfortable working at heights.

Experience working on a New Zealand or Australian telco / power network is essential for this role.

Your strong written and verbal communication skills will help you to build string working relationships and produce commissioning reports.Ideally You Will Have Exposure To The FollowingLow Voltage DC Power Plant Installation, Commissioning - Battery TestingIP Experience - Nokia, Alcatel Lucent, Cisco experience preferableTransmission Installation, Commissioning - Ethernet, SDH, PDHOutside and Inside Plant Cable installation, Testing & Fault RepairProtection Signaling SystemsData Cabling, Data Tray / Raceway InstallationWiFi & VOIP Installation, CommissioningSCADA SystemsExcel & WordThe Following Would Be AdvantageousElectrical RegistrationThe ability to interpret and work from drawingsRF Feeder and Antenna installation experienceDiversityVentia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
