The Head Teacher is responsible for providing professional leadership and management to the teaching team, ensuring the delivery of quality education through effective curriculum implementation in line with the Licensing Criteria and Association policies, procedures, and guidelines.

At Greenmeadows Kindergarten we are seeking an experienced leader with passion, energy, and drive. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with children, teachers, whānau, and the wider community is integral to this role, together with a commitment to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments.

Key requirements include :

• Being a registered qualified teacher
• Upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga in daily practice.
• Developing and maintaining strong reciprocal relationships with parents and whanau.
• Leading inquiry, professional learning, and collaboration to build team capability.
• Establishing strong professional relationships that prioritise learner wellbeing.
• Creating a learning-focused culture of respect, inclusion, collaboration, and safety.
• Designing learning programmes based on curriculum knowledge, assessment, and each learner’s strengths, interests, identity, and culture.
• Teaching in an adaptive, culturally responsive way to ensure progress and positive outcomes for all tamariki.
• Experience in guiding and educating tamariki with diverse learning and behaviour needs, together with a commitment to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments.
