About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to join our high‑performing data and analytics practice. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical capability with business acumen and client engagement skills.
You’ll play a key role in translating client data needs into scalable, modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, while also supporting our sales teams in defining solution approaches, estimating work, and presenting technical solutions to clients.
This position requires a proactive professional who takes end‑to‑end accountability, from discovery to delivery ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements, develop solution architectures, and support proposal development.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor during client discussions, demonstrating strong communication and consultative skills.
- Take accountability for solution delivery, ensuring high quality, scalability, and performance across data pipelines, models, and analytics layers.
- Build and maintain robust ETL / ELT pipelines, data models, and semantic layers within Microsoft Fabric.
- Drive best practices in data governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability uplift within the Data & Analytics team.
- Stay ahead of emerging data technologies and trends within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in data engineering, including design and delivery of large‑scale data solutions.Proven hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Power BI integration.Strong experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, ADF).Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and data transformation frameworks.Experience working with CI / CD pipelines for data deployments (e.g., using Azure DevOps).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in client‑facing or sales environments.Strong understanding of data architecture, modelling, and governance frameworks.Ability to take ownership and accountability across the project lifecycle.Nice to Have
Exposure to data strategy, architecture design, or solution design in enterprise environments.Experience in Power BI, Fabric OneLake, and integration with other analytics tools.Previous consulting or professional services experience.Our Capabilities
