About the role

This organization has roles across their tech stack, from C# to Python to Typescript / React. You won’t need 10+ years of experience in each language; bringing your own skills and a willingness to learn on the fly is more important.

The role involves working on a diverse range of fintech products, from the first line of code through to launch. You should be able to take ownership, do the right thing at the right time, and be a positive team member who pitches in whenever you can.

What you will bring

You should have experience in C# or Python (or both), preferably in a SAAS, startup, or fintech environment. You won’t have siloed yourself in your career and will be eager to learn and upskill as you go.

This role cuts across the software development spectrum, so even if frontend isn’t your specialty, you’ll know a bit of React / Typescript. You may have deployed environments using Terraform, or used Cloudwatch logs with the help of AI tools to diagnose issues.

The ideal candidate will have a great attitude and never say “that’s not my job.”

You will need all / most / able-to-fake-it of :

• Experience building web applications with C# or Python (or both). If you’re a C# developer who occasionally uses Python, that’s a plus.
• Experience building modern frontends using React. Familiarity with React Router, TanStack Router, or Next.js Router is helpful.
• Knowledge of modern web development and mobile-first design. Basic understanding of CSS flexbox concepts is expected.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals : schema design, query tuning, performance, etc.

This role is based in Auckland CBD. The role is not fully remote, but there are flexible working arrangements. The role is only open to candidates with existing working rights within NZ.
