The Role

We’re on the lookout for an Intermediate Backend / Full Stack Engineer to help shape the future of Weirdly’s platform. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising our backend systems (PHP / Symfony), while contributing to frontend features (NextJS or similar).

This role is perfect for someone who loves clean, scalable architecture, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys solving real-world problems that make hiring more human.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and optimise backend services to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and data flows across systems.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver new features.
• Manage AWS-based infrastructure and deployment practices.
• Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and technical direction.
• Continuously improve CI / CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability.
• Maintain strong data security and compliance standards.
• Research and recommend new technologies that support Weirdly’s growth.
