What You’ll Do

  • Build and Scale Infrastructure : Work across AWS, GCP, GCore, and Cloudflare to scale hybrid systems powering our AI workloads.
  • Support GPU Optimisation : Scale and tune GPU infrastructure for AI model training and inference to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Improve CI / CD Pipelines : Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance pipelines, simplify deployments, and boost developer velocity.
  • Strengthen Observability : Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response for clearer visibility and faster recovery.
  • Contribute to Integration Projects : Align infrastructure systems with Canva engineers and the Platform team and adopt shared tooling.
  • Uphold DevOps Best Practices : Maintain documentation, reusable standards, and workflows for stability and scalability.
  • Keep Learning and Sharing : Participate in DevOps Guilds, deep dives, and innovation sessions exploring new tools and AI-driven automation.

Skills We Love

  • Experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, and IAM; exposure to multi-cloud environments like GCP, GCore, or Cloudflare.
  • Practical experience using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools to manage and automate infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with building or maintaining CI / CD pipelines in a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Strong Linux, containerisation, and cloud networking fundamentals.
  • Clear communication and documentation practices; collaborative mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to explore new tools and approaches; bonus : experience with GPU infrastructure or AI-driven automation.
