About the Role
The Lead Software Engineer – Power Platform is central in delivering high-quality solutions across PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse and Copilot Studio.
This role is pivotal in establishing a scalable Centre of Excellence (CoE), embedding automation and AI into enterprise solutions, and enabling Health New Zealand's digital transformation. You'll lead the charge in building intelligent, secure, and scalable applications that improve operational efficiency and user experience.

About the Team / Service / Location
The role reports to the Manager, Development, within the Digital Applications & Products function. This team is responsible for delivering and supporting digital products and services that enable essential corporate, regulatory, and sector-specific functions across the organisation.
With a national scope, the team ensures systems are robust, secure, and aligned with modern technology standards. For the Power Platform, this means building reusable patterns, promoting consistent practices across the country, and supporting business units to deliver value safely and effectively.
About you
You're a seasoned digital leader with deep experience in the Microsoft ecosystem, especially Power Platform. You thrive in complex delivery environments and balance technical detail with strategic oversight. You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves to solve design challenges, but just as focused on building capability and embedding sustainable practices.
