• .About the Team / Service / LocationThe Department of Cardiology at Middlemore Hospital invites applications for a SMO Cardiology with a special interest in Imaging.

Middlemore Hospital is an accredited, 800-bed, teaching hospital of Auckland University and it is the main acute medicine centre for the region of over 550,000 people.

Our Department of Cardiology runs an 18 bed CCU / SDU and a Cardiology Ward.

We offer a large volume outpatient service, an on-site echocardiographic imaging service, a cardiac interventional suite with two cath labs, and on-site CT coronary angiography and Cardiac MRI services.

Cardiac surgical and invasive electrophysiology services, some of which are provided as part of a Northern regional service at Auckland City Hospital.Our Cardiology Service provides high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
