Te Kura Tuarua o Tamatea is seeking a dedicated Mathematics kaiako to join our innovative and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to a growing learning environment.

This full-time, permanent position involves teaching mathematics from Y9–13, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in our ākonga.

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics with engaging and creative lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
• Contribute to mathematics education and support students in other learning areas as needed.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeing.
• Design lessons that incorporate real-world applications of mathematics, fostering student curiosity and creativity.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure equitable outcomes for all.
• Foster a love of mathematics and its application beyond the classroom!!
