On Premise Business Development Executive – Wellington & Surrounds

Your Impact

As an On Premise Business Development Executive, you’ll represent Asahi Lifestyle Beverages’ market‑leading portfolio across Wellington, the Kāpiti Coast, and the Wairarapa region. You’ll take ownership of a diverse customer base, driving sales growth, strengthening partnerships, and executing commercial and promotional plans that bring our brands to life in market. This hands‑on, field‑based role offers the opportunity to make a real impact through strong customer relationships, operational excellence, and executional discipline. You’ll be supported by an experienced Business Development Manager and work closely with our Channel, Activation, and Marketing teams to deliver results that make a visible difference.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver on sales, distribution, and promotional targets in line with Asahi’s commercial and market share objectives
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships across the Wellington, Kāpiti, and Martinborough regions
  • Conduct regular customer visits to ensure strong visibility, compliance, and in‑venue execution of promotional programmes
  • Implement new product launches, trade activations, and category growth initiatives with precision and consistency
  • Monitor competitor activity and leverage insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise trade investment and promotional planning
  • Maintain a strong focus on service standards, brand presence, and in‑venue merchandising excellence
  • Participate in creating a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace

About You

  • Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building and influencing skills
  • Highly organised with excellent planning and time management abilities
  • Proven experience in FMCG, beverage, or hospitality sales environments
  • Commercially minded with solid analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office capability and attention to detail in reporting and execution
  • Self‑motivated, energetic, and results‑driven with a focus on achieving excellence every day
  • Valid driver’s licence and full working rights in New Zealand
