Rentokil Initial is looking for a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller to join our team on a full-time permanent basis in our Mt Wellington office.
In this key role, you will be essential in providing support to the team, helping to deliver exceptional service. Your primary focus will be on effective receivables management to improve collections and reduce bad debt exposure. This involves ensuring that all inbound and outbound customer contact is conducted with service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Build strong client relationships. Act as client advocate for account, administrative, and credit matters.Respond promptly and efficiently to all client and internal inquiries via various channels.Proactively seek feedback to improve account management practices.Educate clients on the benefits and use of electronic payment options.Maintain detailed, accurate client records. Escalate issues to the Credit Control Team Leader as required.Execute outbound client collection activities per procedures and policy to achieve cash flow targets.Implement collection programs for targeted profiles and ageing standards.Identify marginal accounts and develop strategies to manage overdue payments and minimise debt exposure.Resolve and follow up on all issues identified during customer contact to ensure prompt collection.Recommend legal action and prepare necessary documentation for legal handover.Perform account maintenance : client record updates, account restructures, allocations, and cheque refunds.Perform client account reconciliations and coordinate outcomes with the client.Establish and promote cross‑functional teamwork among Sales, Operations, Contract Management, and Finance to deliver service excellence.Essential Skills and Experience
3+ years of experience in a high‑performing credit management team (preferable).2+ years of direct experience in a credit / collections role (preferable).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven relationship‑building skills.Open communicator, able to succeed both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.Natural problem‑solving ability.Comfortable and experienced working with Excel.Strong work ethic with a hunger to learn new processes and systems.Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workload.Adaptable in a fast‑moving environment.Successful candidates must complete a pre‑employment assessment, including medical, reference, and criminal background checks, meeting Rentokil Initial's satisfactory criteria.
