Work Location : Otago

Employment type : Full time (guaranteed 30hours / per week, roster from Monday to Sunday), Permanent

Our pay : $

• per hour depending on skills

We are busy restaurant located in Dunedin, open 7 days per week.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for a cook to join our team.

We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

What we need from you :

Idea candidates should have at least 2 years relevant work experience in the same field or industry, OR

Have a relevant level 4 qualification or above (equivalent overseas qualification or an overseas's occupational certificate can be accepted)

You are required to :

Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness

Preparing and Cooking food in various utensils and grillers

Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during / after cooking

Preparing food to meet client's taste and dietary needs

Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away

Storing and reserving food

Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs

Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.

Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Executive Chef
