Welder

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Welder to join our team at our Christchurch Branch. You will be supporting the business through maintaining the Christchurch Municipal, Christchurch Commercial, and Canterbury Landfill & Energy fleet consisting of over 100 trucks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on unit frames, bodies, and parts.
• Repair cracks, breaks, and wear on truck and unit components.
• Fabricate custom parts, panels, and reinforcements as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors to schedule vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with Vehicle maintenance when required
• Maintain accurate records of all ongoing maintenance work.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Manage job processing through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Requisition of necessary repair parts and consumables.
• Perform daily checks of all Vehicle Workshop tools and equipment to ensure they are serviceable and accounted for.
