Pipe Fabricator / Welder – Workshop & Site Work | South-East ChristchurchWe're on the lookout for a skilled Pipe Fabricator / Welder to join a busy workshop team based in South-East Christchurch, with occasional site installation work included.

If you've got solid welding and fabrication experience and enjoy a mix of workshop precision and hands-on site work, this is a great opportunity to step into long-term, consistent employment.Location : South-East ChristchurchStart : Immediate start availablePay rate : $32–$35 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)What you'll be doing : Fabricating and assembling pipe systems in the workshop to detailed specificationsMIG and TIG welding across various materialsReading and working from technical drawings and weld symbolsMeasuring, cutting, and prepping pipe using workshop tools and equipmentAssisting with on-site installation and fitting of fabricated piping systemsOperating fabrication machinery and maintaining a tidy, safe workspaceWorking with a small team to meet project deadlinesHours : 7 : 30am–5 : 00pm, Monday to FridayWhat we're looking for : A relevant qualification in heavy or pipe fabrication (preferred)Minimum 3 years' experience in welding and fabricationStrong MIG and TIG welding skillsConfident working both in the workshop and occasionally on-siteAbility to read and follow technical plansHigh attention to detail and a strong work ethicAble to pass a drug and alcohol testWhat's in it for you : Weekly pay : $32–$35 per hourPPE supplied by the Tradestaff Christchurch teamMonday to Friday hours, no weekend workLong-term consistent work for the right candidateWhy work with Tradestaff?
