Overview

Maintenance Fitter

– Tradestaff Christchurch are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Fitter to work across a range of sites throughout Canterbury.

This role involves a mix of installation, maintenance, and repair work — including time on food production sites — so flexibility and attention to detail are key.

If you're looking for a varied and hands-on role, this could be the perfect fit.

Location :

Work will take place all around Canterbury — flexibility is a must

Start date :

Immediate start available

Pay rate :

$30–34 per hour (paid weekly)

Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery

Diagnosing faults and performing preventative maintenance

Carrying out mechanical upgrades and replacements

Ensuring equipment meets safety and hygiene standards (especially in food facilities)

Completing on-site work at various locations, including some out-of-town travel

Requirements

Full Class 1 licence

1+ years' on-site maintenance experience

Ability to work in food production environments

Flexibility for out-of-town and varied site work

Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
