Employment type : Full time (guaranteed 30 hours, maximum 40 hours / per week, Monday to Sunday, rotating roaster, 8 : 00AM to 9 : 30PM), Permanent

Our pay : $23.00 -$30.00 per hour depending on personal ability

We are a well-established popular takeaway based in Waikato Region.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for a 1 kitchen hand to join our team.

We are expecting someone who has attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

No prior work experience is required for this role but could be an advantage.

Priority will be given to local NZ residence / citizens.

This position will be required to assist chefs and waiting staff in preparing and serving food, wash dishes and clean food preparation and service areas.

Tasks Include :

• Clean all kitchen surfaces and remove rubbish
• Wash and clean kitchen equipment and appliances
• Keep the food and supply storage areas organized and clean
• Sort, store and distribute cooking ingredients
• Wash, peel, chop and cut food ingredients as required
• Help to prepare dishes, weight ingredients and check supplies
• Provide assistance to cooks and other kitchen staff during cooking as needed
• Prepare, handle, sort and store food as directed by cooks
• Assist in packing food items and beverage for serving
• Re-stock and put away food and other supplies and equipment at the end of each shift
