Assistant Manager

Shree Matangi Food Limited T / A Pizza Hut Petone  is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager to join the team in Petone, Wellington . The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to support the Manager in overseeing daily operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring high service standards are consistently maintained.

Key Duties :

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.
• Assist with opening and closing the store, following all company checklists and safety procedures.
• Help organise staff during shifts to maintain efficient service and good teamwork.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in placing orders as directed by the Manager.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to hygiene and safety standards.
• Provide friendly and prompt service to customers and help resolve minor issues when they arise.
• Handle basic cashing up, EFTPOS transactions, and assist with end-of-day reconciliations.
• Help train new team members on store procedures and customer service expectations.
• Keep the store clean, well-presented, and compliant with company and health regulations.
• Support the team in meeting daily sales targets and maintaining a positive store atmosphere.
