Key Impact
As our new Key Account Manager (On Premise), you will take ownership over some of New Zealand’s most sophisticated on‑premise customers. This newly created role is designed to bring stronger strategic focus, consistent commercial planning and improved partnership outcomes across our most complex customer base.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and deliver long‑term strategic account plans across major multi‑site and multi‑region operators.
- Build quarterly promotional programs at least one quarter ahead, aligned to customer and brand priorities.
- Manage performance against customer P&L including Volume, NSV, GCSC and profitability metrics. Execution outcomes each quarter determine what worked, what didn’t and where improvements can be made.
- Lead joint business planning, including promotional alignment, supply agreements and commercial negotiations.
- Drive ranging reviews and lead NPD sell‑ins to optimise customer assortment and revenue mix.
- Partner closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting and performance tracking.
- Work with BDEs and venue managers to support consistent execution, ranging and trade program implementation.
- Lead new business acquisition through RFPs across emerging segments such as accommodation and stadiums.
- Strengthen relationships with customer head‑office and operations leaders to drive mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.
- Input into On Premise channel planning, commercial calendar development and demand planning processes.
About You
Strong experience in On Premise or FMCG account management, ideally with multi‑site or key account exposure.Proven commercial acumen with the ability to manage P&Ls, trade spend and ROI delivery.Experienced negotiator, comfortable closing commercial agreements and leading high‑level discussions.Strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead, structure promotional cycles and manage long‑term partnerships.Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.High analytical capability with confidence in forecasting, profitability analysis and commercial reporting.Backgrounds from FMCG, liquor, hospitality or consumer goods highly valued — but open to commercially strong candidates from outside the industry.Ideal step‑up opportunity for an on‑premise BDM, or a strategic move for an experienced FMCG Key Account Manager.Why Asahi Beverages?
