This role is part of an ongoing investment in the supply chain to lead change, accelerate improvement, and deliver transformational outcomes.The opportunity As National Inventory Manager, you will strengthen the accuracy, visibility, and control of inventory across Goodman Fielder NZ and 3PL sites.
You will lead a national team of inventory specialists, drive adoption of new technologies, refine processes, and deliver transformation and continuous improvement that balance accuracy, cost, and service.
You will report to the Head of Warehousing, Inventory & Global Logistics and shape national inventory strategy, enable best practice, and build capabilities for a modern, agile supply chain.
You'll work with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time to support customer needs and business growth.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a high-performing national inventory team.Set and deliver national inventory strategies that drive accuracy, visibility, and control.Champion the use of advanced technologies (WMS, RFID, analytics tools) to improve performance.Drive visibility and manage cost and accuracy of pallet assets.Collaborate across sales, finance, logistics, and planning to align inventory with business demand.Partner with 3PLs and suppliers to ensure reliable replenishment and issue resolution.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimise cost and risk while maximising service.Prepare and present inventory performance insights with opportunities for improvement.What's In It For YouThis is a career-defining opportunity to lead inventory control and strategy for one of New Zealand's largest and most trusted food businesses.
